[DXTORY, MSI AFTERBURNER, FRAPS...] Recording issues

Post by kiwix » Thu May 08, 2014 3:21 am

Hello,

If you are using DXTORY Version: 2.0.126, D.RAYS will probably crash if you try to record.
-> Appears since the Alpha 7, no issue before (?)

Settings:

-> Codec x264vfw give the same result (crash)
-> Scaling => whatever width/height, same issue ; Size => recording 100%/75%/50% => same
-> All saved profiles deleted ; created again and dxtory removed/installed again
-> 'Disable Native Write Memory' checked, same issue
-> No Dxtory_log.txt or ErrorLog.txt generated
-> Sometimes, i'm using XFIRE : here, it is closed

MSI Afterburner 2.3.1 works without any crash (MPJG Compression or Lagarith):

Also tried to execute DangerousRays.exe with admin rights (UAC disabled) and it doesn't change anything.

FRAPS not tried

Hardware / Software:
CPU: i5 760 @ 2.80 Ghz
Memory: 12GO
Graphic Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX570 (Drivers: 335.23)
OS: Win7 x64 bits (Home Premium)

If i'm missing something, feel free to tell me. Also, try on your side and let me know if you have any clue, please. I will probably open a thread on the official dxtory forum, i'll let you know :D

Hello kiwix i am sorry i have completely missed this tread !

I have heard about multiple recording issue with DR but i don't know what i could do to fix it on my side, it is probably because i am using OpenGL for Dangerous Rays graphics rendering. If you have any answer from DXTORY dev team please tell me.
